Four nabbed for possession of 68 suspected stolen bank cards

The accused will appear in court for illegal possession of bank cards.

An intelligence-driven operation conducted by Crime Intelligence, the Witbank Tactical Response Team, the Middelburg Flying Squad, and a tracking company led to the arrest of four suspects found in possession of 68 suspected stolen bank cards on the N4 in Belfast on Tuesday, November 19.

Information was received from a reliable source about bank cards allegedly kept in a house in the Siyancoba section of Witbank.

On Tuesday morning, at about 06:00, the suspects were spotted loading the suspected stolen cards into a vehicle before leaving the house.

The police followed the suspects, and after a lengthy pursuit, the vehicle was cornered in Belfast on the N4, heading toward Nelspruit.

A search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of 68 bank cards.

The four occupants, aged between 40 and 42 years, could not provide any authority to possess the cards.

They were arrested for possession of suspected stolen bank cards and are expected to appear before the Belfast Magistrate’s Court soon.

Police have not ruled out the possibility of adding further charges as investigations continue.
