Cables thieves forced to leave behind loot thanks to Hawks Security Officer

Hawks Security is currently searching for the owner of the stolen cables.

Four cable thieves had no choice but to leave their loot behind due to the swift work of a reaction officer.

The recovery was made at roughly 03:20 last Sunday morning while a Hawks Security reaction officer was on patrol.

The reaction officer stopped four suspects in a field near Slegtkamp Street, and when he approached them, they fled in opposite directions, leaving the stolen property behind.

According to the security company, the SAPS was dispatched to the scene but could not open a case due to no arrests being made.

Should anyone believe the stolen cables might belong to them, they can contact Hawks Security on 013 244 2747. The cables will be handed over upon identification.
