Man arrested for murder a month after receiving parole

He is accused of killing Mnqoba Blessing Tebele (20) last Sunday.

Parolee Sbusiso Mahlwaneng Choma appeared in court today (Thursday) on charges of murder.

He is accused of killing Mnqoba Blessing Tebele (20) last Sunday.

The brutal attack happened shortly after 17:00 near Bhimy Damane Street in the CBD.

According to an eyewitness who saw the horrifying scene, they said a robber was pursuing Mnqoba through the streets.

The robber reportedly fought with Mnqoba to steal his cellphone and then allegedly stabbed him in the chest.

The police were dispatched to the scene, where they found Mnqoba dead on the ground.

The Middelburg police followed leads that led to the arrest of Choma yesterday.

The matter was postponed for a formal bail application on January 29.

It was reveled that Choma was released on parole regarding a murder case on November 20.
