Middelburg Dam level sees massive rise in past 24 hours

On Wednesday, the dam was 79.87% full, whereas today the level had risen to a whopping 93.05%.

In what is sure to be music to residents’ ears, the Middelburg Dam’s water level have risen by a whopping 940mm over the span of a 24-hour-period.

Since Wednesday’s reading, the dam level increased with 13.18%.

At this stage, there is a possibility that a sluice gate could be lifted as soon as this weekend.

But the still increasing dam level will first be controlled by opening the pressure relief valve, before sluices will be opened.
