WATCH: Mhluzi matric teen receives a car from Mpumalanga government after bagging top results

Mhluzi’s very own star student has bagged a brand new car after being announced as Mpumalanga’s top-achieving learner today.

Gugu Libamo of Mphanama Secondary School received several cash prizes, a bursary, and many more rewards earlier today at the Sydney Choma Banquet Hall.

She and 36 other learners were named the best learners in the province during the 2024 National Senior Certification Examination results, where the Mpumalanga Premier and MEC of Education were present.

Mpumalanga achieved an 84.99% pass rate.

Gugu, who spoke to the Middelburg Observer, said she will be studying medicine at the University of Cape Town this year.
