(VIDEO) Faulty geyser wiring believed to have caused house fire on SADC Street
The electrical cable connected to the geyser is thought to have sparked, igniting the fire.
A newly installed geyser’s electrical cable is believed to be the culprit behind last night’s house fire on SADC Street, with a section of the home’s passageway roof burnt.
Taking place late last night, the Middelburg Observer arrived at the scene at 22:15, with the fire department having already dealt with the situation.

There were no injuries, but the two people staying at the home were given shelter at the neighbouring St Joseph Old Age Home for the night, to avoid the harmful smoke in the property.
They thanked emergency services for their help, as well as responding to the incident with such haste.
