A man driving a bakkie lost his life this afternoon, after colliding into the backside of a truck on the N4.

The incident took place just past the Hendrina off-ramp at roughly 15:50.

According to Ross Towing Services, two lanes are closed, direction eMalahleni, with forensics at the scene.

Motorists are advised to proceed with caution if travelling in the area.
