Mission Im’paws’sible: Wandering dog found inside Hawks office

This dog is in search of its owners, if you have any information, please contact the number below.

A dog managed to make its way into the Hawks’ office on SADC Street this afternoon. Presumably, to file a missing owners report.

The Middelburg Observer spoke to Brigadier Danie Hall, who said that upon his visit to the office this afternoon at around 14:00, he discovered the dog in the basement.

Hall stated that he no idea as to how the dog got inside the premises, “This is definitely a first for me.”

At first he suspected that it may belong to someone in the building, but when no one claimed the hound, he needed to make a decision.

The dog, which Hall describes as ‘cleanly groomed and well trained’, couldn’t have been from the streets.

The dog did not have a collar, but seemed well fed and healthy.

As such, Hall took the dog home for safety and asked for his number to be spread far and wide, so that the owners can reclaim their beloved companion.

“That is something you always worry about. A child could be out there crying, waiting for their pet to come home,” Hall said.

If you have any information regarding the owner’s whereabouts, please contact Hall on 071 481 3281.
