One dead, multiple injured in two accidents on N11 and Old-Belfast road

Drive carefully, roads slippery and dangerous

One person passed away following a head-on-collision on the Old-Belfast road close to Mafube mine.

Two others were seriously injured.

Shortly before the fatal crash, three vehicles were also involved in a serious collision on the N11, near Pullenshope.

A stop-and-go is currently in place on the N11 where emergency services are busy assessing multiple patients.

There’s also heavy rain in the area and motorists should travel with caution, as delays can be expected on the route.

The crash occurred around 17:20.

Heavy downpours have been reported in the area, and the road is slippery.

There’s not estimated time as to when the road will fully reopen.
