Ms Erna Pretorius (principal, Aerorand Primary) just confirmed the cancellation as Aerorand Primary is hosting the athletics meeting. She said they decided to cancel tomorrow’s event because the field is very wet, “More rain is also expected and we had to make the decision.”

Pretorius mentioned that they decided to shift the event to HTS Middelburg next week because there is a circuit athletics meeting at the school on Monday.

This means the field will already be marked for athletics and it will make it easier to hold the meeting there.

• Schools due to participate in the Inter Primary Athletics are Aerorand Primary, Middelburg Primary School, Groblersdal Academy, Laerskool Dennesig, Laerskool Kanonkop, Rietkuil, Marble Hall and Julian Muller.
