Middelburg Airshow to fly into town next week!
The Middelburg Airshow is set to touchdown and make its highly-anticipated return next week, with the Middelburg Aero Club selected as host of Aero Club Airweek.
Celebrating 105 years of recreational aviation in South Africa, Airweek is described as ‘an aviation showcase for aviators by aviators’. Airweek begins on Thursday, March 6, and will continue until Sunday, March 9.
Middelburg Airshow
On Saturday, March 8, the Middelburg Airshow will take place from 14:00 to 17:00 at the Middelburg Airfield. It will feature helicopter, formation flight, and aerobatic displays, as well as vintage and homebuilt aircraft.
Food and drinks will be available on site, but please keep in mind that you are advised to bring your own chair. Helicopter rides will also be available for the whole family!
Gates will open at 12:00, with entry fees set at R100 for adults and R50 for kids.
The Middelburg Airshow is one of our town’s premier offerings, with this year’s edition set to leave the audience in awe at the marvellous routines planned.
Aero Club Airweek
Airweek is set to be several days of wish fulfilment for aviation fans, as this will be your opportunity to meet and engage with pilots and people with a like-minded passion for aircraft.
Ask any number of the experts at Airweek their thoughts and opinions, and you will find yourself in a thoughtful discussion that can further enhance your understanding of aviation.
For instance, have you wanted to learn more about hot air balloons or self-sustaining gliders? If you answered yes, then the Middelburg Aero Club Airweek is your one-stop place to go!
