A hot and dry weekend is expected this weekend, with temperatures to hover around 30°C.

This will come as a sigh of relief after Middelburg’s trouble with rain and flooding during the course of the week.

According to AccuWeather, Friday will bask in ‘brilliant sunshine’, while Saturday will be ‘mostly sunny and pleasant’.

Sunday is predicted to have ‘partial sunshine with a thunderstorm in parts of the area’, and a 40% chance of precipitation.

The Weather Channel concurs with this outlook, estimating lots of sun on Friday and Saturday, with a chance of thunderstorms and rain on Sunday.

Sunday’s weather is expected to have thunderstorms develop in the afternoon with a 35% chance of rainfall.
