Elderly man’s next of kin sought

The man does not have any teeth, and his face and head were shaved.

The police are searching for the next of kin of an elderly man who died after he was run over by a car.

The man, believed to be older than 70, died after he was hit by a car on Saturday night after 23:00 on the Stoffberg road, about 10km from Middelburg.

He was wearing grey jeans, a blue golf T-shirt with stripes, and a blue coat. There was also a ZCC badge (with a star) pinned to his T-shirt.

The man does not have any teeth, and his face and head were shaved.

•  The family of the man that was hit by a vehicle on the N4 two weeks ago is yet to formally identify him

• If anyone in the area is missing a family member, they must go to the Middelburg Police Station, where a member of the police will accompany them to the forensics department.
