Vandals strip mini-sub, leaving many without power

The power outage has affected several homes on the street.

Several residents in John Magagula Street are without power after a mini substation at 51 John Magagula Street was stripped by vandals for the copper in the wires.

The power outage has affected several homes on the street.

The street lights are still operating in the area, and some homes and businesses do have power.

The Middelburg Observer spoke to Clr Susan-Mari Wait, who said the matter has been reported to the necessary departments.

The municipality is aware of the matter, however, it is unclear when the power will be restored.
