Damstand op 99%, een sluis vanaand gelig

Man Mahlangu by yhe Middelburg Dam sluice gate,

Met ’n Middelburgdam wat tjok-en-blok vol is, sal een sluis vanaand om 18:00 gelig word.

Die munisipaliteit het bevestig dat water uitgelaat sal word met die dam op 99% kapasiteit.

Daar word gevra dat inwoners laagliggende areas naby die rivier moet vermy, weens moontlike vloeding.

Motoriste moet ook laagwaterbruggies vermy.

Weervoorspellings wys dat daar meer reën verwag kan word tot Sondag.
