Gruesome discovery under Somaphepha tree

A foetus was found dumped next to a tree in an open veld in Somaphepha on Monday.

The discovery was made by a passerby at around 17:00.

A concealment of pregnancy investigation has been launched by the police.

The foetus was found wrapped in a navy blue towel, and the bloody bundle was found partly stuffed inside a plastic bag.

The police urge residents to assist them with the investigation.
