There are two accidents at least two kilometers from each other.

The N4 near Berg-en-Dal and Belfast has been closed off due to two serious accidents.

Heavy traffic on the N4 near Belfast after a serious accident earlier today. Five have lost their lives.

The crashes happened this afternoon at around 13:00 due to heavy mist on the road.

One of the accidents has claimed five lives.

The Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison said it is not clear when the road will be reopened, and details will be communicated with the public.

Motorists are urged to approach with caution.
Five people have sadly lost their lives.
