Family members accused of former Middelburg policeman’s murder

Former Middelburg cop, Freddy Willis, was fatally shot on Sunday, April 27.

A former Middelburg policeman, Freddy George Willis (80), was fatally shot on Sunday and his wife, son and grandson were arrested.

His wife, ⁠Nomvula Lucy Willis (75), son, George Kenedy Willis (55) and grandson, ⁠Kenny Rudolph Willis (29) appeared in the Nkomazi Magistrate’s Court today.

The vitim was shot at his home in Schoemansdal.

The case against the trio has been postponed to May 6 for formal bail application.

  • Freddy was fondly known as ‘Wheels’ between his police friends in Middelburg.
