Mark Lombaard, who is 17 years old, is presumed missing after running away from home in an attempt to travel to Phalaborwa via Middelburg, with his mother Meriska Lombaard pleading with the public for any information regarding his whereabouts.

Mark last spoke to his mother, who resides in Phalaborwa, last night at 22:00, with Mark believed to have last been seen in his hometown of Cullinan.

After a family dispute, the young boy ran away and is trying to reach Phalaborwa to be with his mother.

He asked that once he reached Mashishing (formerly Lydenburg), his mother should come and pick him up.

However, his phone was then uncharacteristically switched off, with Meriska unable to contact him until 11:15 today.

Mark refuses to say where he is, leaving his mother pleading with the public for help.

He has blonde hair and blue eyes, and is carrying luggage. What he is wearing is currently unknown.

Meriska asks motorists to keep an eye out for anyone matching her son’s description, as he may be wandering along the side of roads and highways.

If you have any information, please share it with Meriska on 079 803 4942 or contact 065 871 1924.
