Murder suspects appear in court

The three suspected family members of a former Middelburg cop appeared in court for murder.

Freddy George Willis (80) was fatally shot on April 27

The suspects are his son, George Kenedy Willis (55), his grandson, Kenny Rudolph Willis (29), and his wife, Nomvula Lucy Willis (75), who were charged with murder.

Nomvula, the wife of the deceased, was admitted to Tonga Hospital after collapsing on May 6 and did not appear in court.

The son and grandson appeared at the Nkomazi Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.

Their case was postponed to May 13 for the continuation of the bail application.

The three suspects remain in custody.
