Man electrocuted after climbing transformer

It’s not clear why he was on the dangerous electricity transmitter.

Residents in Avalon (Newtown), Mhluzi, woke up to a shocking sight of a dead man in the middle of the road this morning

At around 07:00, the man’s body was found after he allegedly climbed a transformer in the informal settlement and was electrocuted, said residents.

It’s not clear why he was on the dangerous electricity transmitter.

Residents contacted emergency services, and they are waiting for the forensic pathologist to transport the body to the state mortuary.
