Pastor to appear in court for perjury

A Nigerian pastor is set to appear in the Middelburg Magistrate’s Court today for perjury.

According to the police, the pastor went to the Middelburg Police Station on the weekend to report that his black Nissan Tiida had been stolen on Walter Sisulu Street.

In his statement, he alleged that his friend borrowed his car and never brought it back.
The pastor went to the police station as the tracking company needed a case number to assist him.

After a thorough investigation, the police arrested the pastor, as it was alleged he lied under oath.
