Homeless man found dead

Another body of a homeless man was found in the CBD.

His body was found last Sunday afternoon and subsequently transported to the state mortuary.

The man is about 1.78m tall, he has a black curly afro, and his front teeth are missing. He is believed to be in his 30s.

• On December 21 last year, a homeless man was discovered on the corner of Cowen Ntuli and Frame streets. He was found by

Tackle Box employees, who quickly contacted emergency services. It is suspected that he died of a drug overdose.

• Last March, another homeless man, later identified as Doctor Douglas Mbonambi (43), was found deceased at the Boven parking area, lying on the pavement amidst boxes and personal belongings.

• In May, a homeless man died on Cowen Ntuli Street after experiencing severe stomach cramps.

• In June, another homeless man, Oupa Mafane from Burgersfort in Limpopo, was found dead on Walter Sisulu Street.

He had no injuries at the time of discovery. It was later revealed that Mafane was facing criminal charges in Limpopo and was evading bail.
