Art

In May, an eager Middelburg Observer reader visited the offices of the newspaper.

She has a passion for poetry and wants to share her creativity with other readers, hoping to inspire them. Take a look at her latest work.

ART
Art lives within you,
the flamy passion burning from within.
Spit it out your mouth,
let’s hear you pray for the nation, with colours in its state.

When you got the world in your head,
you can try to take away my crown, but I will never let my kingdom down.
Show them, show the world,
your capabilities, artistic self.
Paint. Draw them a picture, show them through you.
Other dimensions in the universe,
creating frequencies of faith.
I bait, create one for me.
Let’s see, the colourless but stagnant.
On paper, drawn with fein ink.
Glisters of paint,
splashing ART.
A God-given voice to cover the voice of the realm.
Screaming mountains, blistery ears,
with a voice of a spear, could you ever write some words for me?

Not just words, I paint, not just paint, I draw.
I illustrate the unspoken truths, the feelings and future I foresee.
I draw the seas that whisper,
When the sun sets and yields.

At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
