Recycler drowns at landfill

The incident happened at around 09:00.

Emergency service officials rushed to the Tokologo landfill earlier today.

The incident happened at around 09:00.

According to information, a man, who is believed to be a recycler, drowned in a flooded quarry at the landfill.

It is not clear what led to the drowning.

His body was transported to the forensic pathology lab for post-mortem results.

Residents with missing loved ones are urged to visit the Mhluzi Police Station for enquiries.
