Man crashes into tree during chase in Protea Street

A man got more than he bargained for when he allegedly fled from law enforcement moments ago.

The driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree.

The crash happened in the Protea Street bend close to Walter Sisulu Street.

The man looked dazed and confused on the scene.

Its unclear what the extent of his injuries are, and they could be serious judging on the wreck.

He crashed straight into the tree after jumping the curb.

Police are on the scene.
