Samaritans wish to reunite ‘oom’ and his dog after accident

The loyal 'steekbaard' just looking for his graybeard.

Sometimes a simple post about a ‘oom’ and his dog, being separated in an unfortunate collision, can whip Middelburg residents into action pronto!

The post asking for details about the accident, in which the unknown ‘oom’ was involved, is spreading like wildfire among residents.

WhatsApp channels have blown up amid locals’ noble quest to reunite dog and owner.

The pooch was picked up around 18km from town on the old-Belfast road.

The post does not say when man’s best friend hitched a ride, but it does reference a collision ‘a few days ago in which an older gentleman was involved’.

‘Someone’ mentioned to the author of the post that the dog belonged to the man involved in the collision.

The post is picking up steam, with locals desperate to help the ‘oom’.

Doggo was meanwhile taken to the SPCA.
