Van Dyksdrift man still missing, search continues

The search for missing Van Dyksdrift man Taunyane Ramotete continues, after he disappeared in December last year.

The family of Taunyane Ramotete from Van Dyksdrift in the Lindokuhle area is continuing a desperate search for him after he went missing on December 12 last year.

According to family spokesperson Portia Mthunzi, Taunyane was last seen at a local tavern shortly before his disappearance.

When he did not return home the following morning, his family initially believed he had travelled into town, but grew increasingly concerned as days passed with no word from him.

Portia explained that Taunyane is a quiet and reserved individual who does not socialise much or have many friends, making his sudden disappearance highly out of character.

A missing person case has since been opened, and the police have been actively searching for Taunyane. The family is now seeking the public’s assistance.

Anyone with information regarding Taunyane Ramotete’s whereabouts is urged to contact the South African Police Service or reach out to his family directly on 072 893 2137 or 076 329 6377.
