WATCH: Roberts Estate shooting-video shows short, but heated argument at gate
Bullet fragment removed from female guard's left thigh.
An incident report to Roberts Estate homeowners detailing a November 2025 shooting at the estate’s guarded entrance has been corroborated by video evidence.
The Middelburg Observer obtained the footage of the incident from the victim of the shooting, a female guard on duty at the entrance.
In the footage, the woman can be seen among a group of fellow security guards confronting the shooter at the exit gate.
The video then shows the female guard limping away before she falls to the ground, with residents of the estate rushing to her aid.
According to the victim, the nasty incident could have been avoided if the alleged shooter, Sihle Ntuli, had just reversed and entered through the assigned visitors’ entrance.
Ntuli allegedly tried to enter the estate through the wrong gate, the female guard said.
Upon instruction to reverse just a few metres and enter through the visitors’ gate, he allegedly became irate, demanding that security let him through.
Ntuli then allegedly fired off a round into the driveway of the estate entrance, with the bullet point ricocheting and wounding the guard in the left thigh.
The shooting happened on November 20 around 11:30, with the guard treated and discharged from the hospital the next day, with the projectile still in her leg.
The victim said she was discharged because doctors advised that an operation to remove the projectile wasn’t necessary.
According to the woman, she began feeling discomfort in her leg, and decided to visit her GP in Limpopo, who referred her to a surgeon who removed the bullet fragment.
Ntuli was arrested on the scene, and the police also confiscated the alleged weapon involved.
Roberts Estate Homeowners’ Association members rushed to provide first aid to the victim.
Titon Security assisted on the scene while ER24 transported the victim to the hospital.
The guard is still struggling to log the incident as an injury on duty to claim benefits.
