One seriously injured in R555 accident near Middelburg

A collision between a bakkie and a truck on the R555 left one person seriously injured and another with minor injuries yesterday evening.

One person was seriously injured in a collision on the R555 (old Middelburg/Witbank road) last night at around 18:00.

It is understood that a Nissan bakkie and a truck were involved in the crash, which occurred just outside Middelburg near a mine entrance.

Emergency services responded to the scene, where one person sustained serious injuries, while another suffered minor injuries.

The cause of the accident has not yet been confirmed.
