Nightmare on N4

The accident occurred earlier this morning on the N4 near the Van Dyksdrift off-ramp, which left the road covered in crates and liquor bottles.

A huge truck transporting alcohol on the N4 caused havoc this morning at the Van Dyksdrift off-ramp.

At around 09:00, the truck overturned, and tons of liquor were spilt all over the road.

“It was a nightmare!” an exhausted David Ross told Middelburg Observer. Ross Towing Services said they tried non-stop to get hold of the Provincial Traffic Department.

“There was no traffic officer on the scene”

Frustrated motorists tried to find an alternative route around the accident scene.

People were seen looting from the truck; no injuries were reported, and the accident scene is still being cleaned up. “It is really insane!” David concluded.

He advised motorists to use Sondagrivier road as an alternative route, as heavy traffic from Keiskamma turns onto Dr Mandela road towards the mall.
