The cold is coming, get the wool blanket and watch golf

There is a good reason to climb onto the couch under a wool blanket this week with a bowl of popcorn: golf.
The Champion of Champions golf tournament is being held at Royal Johannesburg from June 4 to 7, and former Middelburger Alra Bekker’s (Van den Berg) other half, Oliver Bekker, is one of the players.
Father-in-law Leon and mother-in-law Hannetjie are long-time residents of the town, with Leon running a law practice here.

The Waterfall City Tournament of Champions tees off this morning.
It’s a unique event which aims to celebrate South African golf.
