A white Isuzu overturned on the N11 near Middelburg Combined School shortly before 08:00 this morning after a collision involving a Volkswagen Polo transporting schoolchildren.

The vehicles were travelling towards Middelburg from Belfast when the incident occurred.

According to personnel at the scene, the Isuzu driver took evasive action after noticing children in the Polo, reportedly attempting to avoid a more severe impact.

The vehicle overturned, scattering debris across the road.

Emergency services responded and treated those involved. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported. While the schoolchildren were shaken by the incident, they were not injured.

The scene has since been cleared and traffic is flowing normally on the N11 road.
