The ‘dustbin game’ continues

Newly delivered waste trucks sent back to the supplier for technical adjustments.

Residents will have to play the ‘dustbin game’ for at least another week: Put your dustbin out, take it in, put it out, take it in…

Refuse removal did start this morning, with a refuse truck that was spotted earlier in Kanonkop.
Several neighbourhoods’ refuse was not removed last week, including Dennesig.
It is expected that some neighbourhoods will be without refuse removal service again today.

7 new trucks sent back for adjustments

Clr Johann Dyason said the seven new waste removal trucks that arrived at the municipality on Friday have been sent back for ‘minor adjustments on the hook that lifts the bin’.
The new trucks should start refuse removal next week.
Sceptical residents said the problem is not the trucks but the cleaning service workers who are on strike from time to time.
