David completes PhD

A former learner of Hoërskool Ben Viljoen has reached an exceptional academic milestone after successfully completing his doctoral studies.

David Kabwa, part of the Hoërskool Ben Viljoen class of 2016, has completed his Doctorate in International Relations at the University of Pretoria.

This remarkable academic achievement is a testament to hard work, perseverance, and a deep commitment to knowledge and research.

His doctoral thesis, titled ‘African Shared Values in Policy Development: Outcome of the African Union Transitional Justice Policy’, examines how Africa’s shared values have influenced policy development on the continent, specifically within the context of the African Union Transitional Justice Policy. The study is theoretically grounded in an emancipatory critical theory framework, focusing on justice, reconciliation, and the strengthening of Africa-based policy approaches.

This achievement is not only a personal milestone but also an inspiration for younger generations to strive for academic excellence.

Hoërskool Ben Viljoen wish David all the best in his future career and trusts that his work will make a meaningful contribution to the field of international relations and African policy development.
