Elias Motsoaledi maps service delivery priorities

Elias Motsoaledi Municipality has outlined key service delivery priorities, reinforcing its commitment to improved governance and community-focused results.

The Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality successfully concluded a three-day strategic planning session aimed at sharpening its focus on service delivery and governance ahead of the 2026/2027 financial year.

The session, held at Loskop Dam from March 9 to 11, brought together political leadership, sector departments, and municipal officials to address key priorities, including policy direction, service delivery challenges raised during the Integrated Development Plan and budget roadshows, and the review of the draft municipal budget.

Municipal spokesperson Simon Makua said the engagement was designed to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen service delivery.

“The outcomes of the session will guide the finalisation of the municipality’s plans and programmes for the 2026/2027 financial year, while reaffirming our commitment to improved governance, accountability and responsive service delivery,” Makua said.

He added that the session also reflected on milestones achieved in advancing effective governance and improving service delivery, noting that the municipality remains focused on turning plans into tangible results for communities.

Mayor David Tladi said the session reinforced a collective commitment among leadership to prioritise residents’ needs.

“This session has strengthened our resolve to ensure that every decision we take translates into better service delivery. Together, we will continue working to improve governance, enhance accountability, and drive sustainable development across the municipality,” Tladi said.
