Sponsors, co-sponsors, organisers and participating teams are preparing for the thrilling affair, which will see some of the country’s top rally teams in action.

This will be the first time that the TRACN4 National Rally will be held in the eMakhazeni region, which is surrounded by Safcol-managed dirt roads that are ideal for rallying.

The stages have thus been carefully selected to ensure that they deliver fierce competition and adrenalin-pumping action.

The two-day rally, which will also serve as the final leg of the 2020 National Rally Championships, will start on 27 November, from Lakensvlei; and from the Dullstroom Epilepsy Centre, the event’s main beneficiary, on day two.

According to the director of the Dullstroom Epilepsy Centre, Rebecca Mashigo, the socio-economic development made possible by the TRAC corporate social investment (CSI) programme, is a welcome reprieve from an incredibly challenging year.

“When TRAC asked to co-host the rally here we did not think twice. Events such as this do wonders for towns like ours. The bonus for the epilepsy centre is TRAC’s commitment to pave our main entrance and upgrade our sports field’s spectator area, hall and lapa area,” says Rebecca.

National Rally Committee (NRC) spokesperson William Louw agrees, adding that it’s wonderful when sport has far-reaching benefits for communities.

“Our rally will bring something new to the quaint town of Dullstroom and will also provide a remarkable economic injection into the area.”
