Kanonkop’s 1st rugby team wins at Amajuba Sports Week

There is a host of sports weeks currently underway in South Africa.
Kanonkop High School is currently in action at one of the oldest, the Amajuba Sports Week, in Volksrust.
The school won its first match 38–7.

After the match, Sean Zulu received Player of the Match and was also selected for the Amajuba touring team that will play in Ireland in December.

Tobie van den Bergh

Tobie started as a journalist in September 1975. He was appointed editor of the Middelburg Observer in 1982 where he worked until he retired in 2024. He received numerous awards, is a founding member of the Forum for Community Newspapers and has published two books about his work. Although retired, Tobie is still very much involved in community journalism.
