Video: Girl used to steal
A little girl, part of a trio of thieves, is pulled back by her hair when she panics and walks too fast, after stealing a handbag at a jewelry store.
A video sent to the Middelburg Observer show just how quick and experienced these thieves are. And that even children can be utilized to do crime.
On the video, two women wander into what looks like a jewelry store. A little girl of not more than ten follows them almost unnoticed.
When the shop assistant gets up to help them, the girl moves towards the counter where she was sitting. The two women stand closer together and show and point to different jewelry pieces, distracting the assistant.
In a matter of seconds, the girl sees her chance, slips under the counter and emerges with a handbag.
She clutches the bag and moves to stand close behind one of the women. Shortly after the girl walks out of the shop with the other woman. When she tries to walk too fast, the woman subtly grabs her by the braids and pulls her to a halt.
Jannie Prinsloo, of the Middelburg Mall, had a look at the video and confirmed that it definitely did not happen in the Middelburg Mall.
Cherel Gouws of the Highveld Mall said that nothing of the sort was reported with them. He said that the shop or assistant on the video is does not remind of any business or person working in the Highveld Mall.
The person that sent the video did not reply to emails asking for more information.
i cant believe what i just saw. they have them on camera but yet still roaming free on the street. what are the parents teacing there kids???
i am disgusted with the two women. ALWAYS KEEP AN EYE OPEN YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN THE CRMMINALS WILL STRIKE!!!!
