Halfway House clinic closed temporarily as of May

HALFWAY HOUSE - Halfway House clinic in Midrand will be temporarily closed down for renovations as of 5 May.

City of Johannesburg spokesperson Nkosinathi Nkabinde said, “The city is building five more consultation rooms in an attempt to enhance service delivery. Clients are encouraged to use clinics in their respective areas whilst the Halfway House clinic is undergoing renovations.”

Nkabinde asked clients not to flood Midrand West clinic which is near Halfway House clinic. “Midrand West clinic is also limited in terms of space. At this stage only TB clients and those on anti-retroviral treatment will be consulted at Midrand West Clinic. All mental health clients will be channelled to Rabie Ridge clinic.

“The City of Joburg apologises for any inconvenience caused. We strongly believe the renovations will make the clinic user-friendly after construction is completed.”

The city will notify residents once renovations have been completed and the facility is ready for use.

For after hours services, clients are requested to utilise Tembisa Hospital and emergency services. Pest control and pollution control services will be rendered from Aspen Square North. For assistance call 011 237 8010.
