In touch with our heritage

MIDRAND - Children at Yenzani Children's Home had a culture day to celebrate their heritage.

The home, which provides care for orphaned, abandoned and abused children, had the event to educate and bring smiles to the children’s faces. House mother, Gladys Leballo, said, “The children enjoyed a showcase of Indian culture by one of the volunteers, Vimala Ally, who dressed up in an Indian outfit and also made Indian inspired outfits for the children to wear.”

“The children had a fun time celebrating their heritage and learning about other cultures. It was great to see them have so much fun and to see them smiling.”

Sanni Mirk, founder of Yenzani, said the staff at the home would like to thank Ally for her ongoing support, and all the other volunteers who give their time and resources to Yenzani.
