Noordwyk shooting update: Suspects use AK-47 to kill Toyota SUV driver in driveway

Suspects are believed to have used an AK-47 to assassinate the driver of a Toyota Fortuner in Noordwyk today.

An unknown number of suspects driving a blue Toyota Corolla shot and killed the driver of a Toyota SUV on September 16.

The incident happened at around 14:42 when residents reportedly heard a spray of bullets.

Although the motive of the shooting is not yet known, the suspects are believed to have used an AK-47 rifle before fleeing the scene.

Dillon Maduray from Ria Sebetsa Security Service said the attackers in a Blue Toyota Corolla had lay waiting before ambushing the victim in a white Fortuner SUV.

“As he was about to pass, the blue Corolla the suspects opened fire on him. This happened on Kiaat Street and Liebenberg Road. We are currently on the scene, trying to get some footage from neighbouring houses,” said Maduray.

He said the suspect in the White SUV was P4, in medical terms, meaning he had passed away, and they were waiting for forensics to arrive.

In the trending videos, the vehicle appears to have been riddled with bullet holes and shattered windows.

The motive for the killing remains unknown, and the suspects are still at large.
