Acts of Love spreads festive cheer as it celebrates 16 years of community impact

With 8?700 meals served, thousands of packs delivered, and countless smiles shared, Acts of Love closes 2025 with gratitude for volunteers, donors, and the wider community who have made a difference in the lives of so many.

Celebrating its 16th anniversary this year, Acts of Love has reached deeper into the community, bringing hope and support to families and individuals facing challenging circumstances.

The Midrand-based non-profit organisation served 8 700 meals, distributed 2 000 winter packs to children, families, and individuals facing harsh conditions, and provided over 2 000 grocery vouchers and food hampers to households experiencing food insecurity.

In addition, 2 000 sanitary pads were supplied to high school girls to ensure dignity and uninterrupted school attendance, while 3 000 hygiene packs were delivered across local communities.
According to the organisation’s ministry coordinator, Veronica Ragovan, the numbers tell only part of the story. “2025 has been about building stronger partnerships, expanding our volunteer base, and sharing countless moments of hope and compassion with the Midrand community,” she said.

Looking ahead to 2026, Acts of Love plans to grow its feeding and household-support programmes and launch skills-development and empowerment initiatives aimed at long-term stability. The organisation also intends to deepen collaborations with local churches, schools, and businesses while strengthening youth-focused outreach programmes.

Ragovan expressed heartfelt gratitude to the volunteers, donors, sponsors, and community partners who made these efforts possible. “Every meal served, every pack delivered, every act of kindness reflects the dedication and generosity of our supporters,” she said.

As the year ends, Acts of Love sends warm wishes to all in the Midrand community. “We wish everyone a blessed, joyful, and peaceful Christmas. May the festive season bring warmth to your homes and hope to your hearts. As we celebrate 16 years of impact, we remain grateful for every hand, every heart, and every contribution. Let the new year shine with opportunity, renewal, and continued compassion.”

The organisation encourages more community members to get involved—whether through volunteering, collaboration, or simple acts of kindness. “Together, we can continue to build a legacy of love, dignity, and transformation,” said Ragovan.
