Mayibuye model Lusanda Mapundu crowned Miss Plus Size Cosset queen

Winning the pageant has transformed the Mayibuye model’s career, providing a platform to showcase her talents, build her brand, and reach a broader audience.

Mayibuye’s rising star, Lusanda Mapundu, was recently crowned Queen of Miss Plus Size Cosset 2024.

Her journey to victory was remarkable, filled with emotional highs, challenges, and personal growth from auditions to the final event.

“One highlight was the sanitary pads drive I organised to raise awareness about menstrual health. This initiative deepened my connection with the community and showcased my commitment to social good,” said the 20-year-old model.

“Yet, I learned to transform these feelings into positive energy and focus on my strengths. Balancing pageant duties with personal life was tough, but I prioritised tasks and stayed organised.”

Mapundu has always been captivated by modelling and its impact on lives. Her humble background instilled in her the values of confidence, resilience, and hard work, which have driven her pursuit of a modelling career. “Modelling is about more than looks, it is about the personality, passion, and dedication you bring.”

Winning Miss Cosset has transformed her career, providing a platform to showcase her talents, build her brand, and reach a broader audience.

Her responsibilities include representing the organisation at events, photoshoots, and functions while inspiring young women to chase their dreams. She will also continue her charitable initiatives, including the sanitary pads drive, to positively impact her community.
