Indlovu FC coach hopes to hold on to the number one spot in the regional league
The Elephants have won four of their last five games this season, putting them atop the log standings for the second time.
Following three consecutive wins in 2025, Inldovu FC has climbed to the summit of the Men’s Hollywoodbets Regional League (Yellow Stream).
This has given The Elephant’s coach Thato Legodi confidence that they are on the right course to clinch the title.
Should they win the league, Inldovu will go into play-offs against the winners of other streams to determine who gets promoted to the ABC Motsepe League, the third tier of South African football.

Indlovu thrashed Soweto United 5-3 on January 26 with a hat-trick from Life Lebese and a brace by Eugene Baloyi, and narrowly beat Prestige Football Academy 2-1 before their 2-0 win over Apaa FC.
In their last five games, Indlovu has won four and drawn one propelling them to the top of the log standings with 32 points after 10 wins, two draws and a loss.
Legodi believes the team is on the right track and they are hoping to consolidate their league standing despite 20 games remaining before the end of the season.

He said they knew exactly what they needed to do to remain there.
“We are taking it a game at a time. I think now we are just focusing on ourselves and our journey ahead more than anything. And most importantly, as the coaches we want to ensure that our players are aware of the journey ahead and that they are mentally and physically ready,” said Legodi.
This is the second stint for the team in the regional league.
“Now we should move up the ladder to test ourselves against the best in South Africa. This is not a far-fetched dream but one that is attainable should we apply and exceed ourselves well in all the remaining games that we have to play.
“Like I said, we want to take it one game at a time but in each game, we need to play with confidence and execute our plans well without putting any pressure on the players.”
