The 27-year-old Midrand resident said his new song was a celebratory anthem after he signed with Ambitiouz Entertainment this year.

“It [song] was inspired by the excitement on the day I went to the studio with Sandile ‘Macarisma’ Mbuyazi who I featured on the song. “As we were chilling, I told him that I was going to get signed and then he freestyled the hook and that was that, we made the song. “Everything happened in one day,” said Zondo.

He added that the song was very personal as it reminded him of the challenges he had overcome. “Everything is really really hard so when you get an opportunity like this and you get recognised, you have to celebrate. Life has changed looking at where I was.”

Zondo encouraged the youth to focus on their work, not listen to what people have to say, record every day and make music. “Whenever you are done making music, make sure you promote it, that was how I made it.”
