Manny Yack addresses fans to enjoy the fruits of their labours

MIDRAND – Midrand based artist Zakrim Phiri, better known as Manny Yack, has delivered the state of the nation address to all the youth working hard and trying their best to achieve their goals, in his new single titled 'Kumanzi Phansi'.


Midrand-based artist Zakrim Phiri, better known as ‘Manny Yack,’ has delivered his own state of the nation address to all the youth working hard and trying their best to achieve their goals, in his new single, titled Kumanzi Phansi.

Phiri described his single as a song where he talks about just having

fun and taking a breather after working hard on a goal and achieving the goal.

“You need to celebrate any achievements that you accomplish no matter how big or small they are.

“I started making music in 2013 after high school, that was when I started going to the studio and making music, since then I have just been trying to get into the music industry,” he said.

The versatile artist said the song really resonated with the position he was in at this moment in his life as he had experienced a lot of pressure which came with the demand of being a signed and commercial artist.

“There is a lot of work that goes into this and sometimes you tend to forget to just sit back and appreciate the accomplishments or any goals that you have achieved along the way.

“So to me, when the idea for the song came, it was just that moment where I thought, ‘Let me just let go and be free for just this one night’.

“And that was how the song came about’.”

The rising star concluded that currently he was working in studio, working on music until there was a demand for a project or album.
