MIDRAND – Midrand based artist, Balogun's new single was inspired by a popular hashtag that was trending on social media.

Balogun said the song was centred around the trending hashtag on social media platforms where girls have been saying that they wanted to see themselves on a yacht in Dubai.

“The song is centred around girls saying they are tired of mediocre outings and now want to go international and dance on a yacht in Dubai. So that has been a trending hashtag, which was why when the beat came along, the inspiration came along as well, so I just decided to put it down on the record.”

Balogun said the song featured Sandy MRD, who was featured on the song Dubai by DJ Maphorisa, Kabza De Small and Vigro Deep. He described Sandy MRD as a very talented musician and one of the best he had worked with so far.

“Blulyt, who is a rapper and dancer is also one of the female artists on the song and she is signed to a record label owned by one of my friends. So I met her at a club and liked what she did musically and decided to work with her as well.

“We also have Muzi in the song’s background, DJ Sanchoz on the beat and Kayswagger in the beginning of the song, hyping the song.”

Balogun said the idea was to drop an extended play of 10 tracks which would include this song but he was holding this back to see how Yansh In Dubai did.

He concluded that the track could be found on all social media platforms, and people could keep an eye out for a TikTok challenge of the song and music video.
