GWM introduces extended warranties and service plans

GWM South Africa has announced the extension of its warranties, as well as the introduction of new service plans on selected vehicles.

The company says its aim is to offer customers additional peace of mind and support.

“Purchasing a new vehicle is a major financial commitment, and everyone wants the reassurance that their manufacturer will be there for them should the unforeseen occur,” says Warren Olsen, chief operating officer of GWM South Africa.

“Service plans enable the customer to breathe a little easier around their vehicles’ scheduled services, and are likely to ensure that vehicles get serviced at the prescribed intervals, facilitating optimal functioning.”

The investment will show GWM customers that the company has faith in its vehicles. he adds. The extended warranties and new service plans will demonstrate GWM’s commitment to quality after-sales support.

In future, customers who purchase a new GWM vehicle will be covered by a five-year / 100 000 km warranty. This means the standard warranty has been extended by two years. This will not apply to Steed Single Cabs, which will be sold with the current three-year/100 000km warranty.

A five-year/45 000km service plan will be standard with the GWM C20R compact hatch, as well as the GWM M4 mini-SUV and GWM C30 sedan. Both are launching soon. The GWM C50 sedan and GWM H6 SUV will soon be available with a five-year/60 000km service plan. Service plans will not apply to GWM Steed Double or Single Cabs.
