MEC Vusi Shongwe opposes bail for kidnappers
Shongwe urged the police to gather enough information to secure a conviction of these dangerous criminals

MBOMBELA- The MEC for Community Safety Security and Liaison Mr Vusi Shongwe called the court to deny bail for the both abductors of Ms Annatjie Myburgh.
One of the suspect appeared in the White River Magistrate’s Court yesterday and the other one will appear in the same court today.
Shongwe urged the police to gather enough information to secure a conviction of these dangerous criminals.

“We must always work hard to maintain trust that communities have towards our police and this could be only done if we remove heartless and dangerous people who continue to terrorise innocent people. We can only do this with the support of the Department of Justice and Constitutional development and enough evidence that link suspects to the crime,” adds Shongwe.
He expressed his condolences to the Myburgh family and friends.
